1500 Calorie Anti Aging Diets

Is there such a thing as the 1500 calorie anti aging diet? Or is it
another attempt by the the billion dollar weight loss industry
to try suck out some money from us innocent souls whose
only goal is to try fight the aging process.

What is the 1,500 calorie anti aging diet? Well the easiest and
simpliest way to explain this is, it’s a diet that restricts the amount
you eat in hope that eating less will extend our lives. The catch
is that you have to keep a balanced vitamin and nutrients in your
diet at the same time. But these don’t usually carry high calories
so its alright, indulge in the so called healthy foods.

The anti aging diet cannot be called a diet as such, because it
differs from the normal diets whose main goal is to help you shed
the much dreaded weight. This diet is more about changing your
lifestyle and diet.

As a result, there’s  two essential components that make up
the anti aging diet. You already know about the calorie restriction
diet the other component  is what has now been termed the
modified mediterranean diet.
This is an anti aging diet that is
is rich in fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes and omega-3 fatty
acids and low in saturated fat.

Ok before you go starving yourself to death, I bet you are itching
to know if this diet even works? Well for over 60 years now there
have been successful tests on animals that have proven that
restricting the calories can reverse the aging process. The
question that most scientist are working on now is does it work
on humans, and for that we are still waiting for results.

Short term results have shown some benefits of this kind of
diet, however very little is known about the long term effects.
Before you do trying this diet speak to your doctor and he will
definetley be the one to help you with whether it is right for you
or not.  This is not an easy diet to stick to, and it may take from
1 to years before you actually can get the hang of it.

One last thing, where does the 1,500 calories figure come from?
Who decided that was the optimum amount of calories needed
for this diet. Well according to research, after one has lost weight
and is at their optimum weight, they only need between 1,500
to 2,500 calories per day, its all relative to your activity level.
